United Ways of California is a nonprofit organization committed to helping every Californian access the resources and tools they need to lead successful lives. We help families move up. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to access the resources they need not just to survive but to thrive. Our goal is to help every working family build financial stability and empowerment.
From policy to programs, United Ways throughout California have been fighting poverty and helping families move up for decades. We coordinate and support the work of local United Ways whose mission is to improve financial outcomes for their local communities. United Ways of California’s policy team advocates at a statewide level to create expanded funding and infrastructure for life-changing financial empowerment programs.
